Landmark Stained Glass Installation Coming Down at JFK Airport Image

The massive 900-pane stained glass installation at JFK airport in New York is coming down. It was created by artists Robert Sowers in 1960 for the American Airlines terminal, and stands at over 20 feet tall and 300 feet wide.

Unfortunately, there are no museums or other institutions that can accommodate the entire piece, so it is being broken into sections that will find different homes.
