Friday May 25th, 2007 saw the resurrection of a time honored tradition - an Artist Salon. Thirty people gathered to celebrate the achievements of Artists in Stained Glass founder, Robert Jekyll. The first heat and smoggy air of Toronto, did not deter the festivities, held at the beautiful stained glass design studio, of Sarah Hall. Robert entertained the crowd with stories of his early years questing to find Patrick Reynteins and showed a wonderful range of slides covering his busy career. The evening was also a surprise event to honor Robert, for his years of work promoting stained glass as a contemporary art form. The Artists in Stained Glass membership, past and present honored Robert with an exquisite mouth blown goblet.
