Are we ready for a Canadian Stained Glass conference?

I am sensing a stained glass revival. The conferences in the States this year were well attended. Chat at the wholesaler has also indicated an up swing in the stained glass industry. Artists in Stained Glass has had a history of slide shows, workshops, lectures, as well has hosting conferences. Are we ready to consider doing this again? Who would you want to see give a lecture or workshop? Are there any volunteers to help? Please let us know what you think.

Canada would be a nice place to visit!

The question is, "Are you ready to take on a conference?"

I would think you would have the interest, you should think about it.

I personally like the format by the SGAA and AGG. Not a trade show thing. As you stated in one of your articles, great way to meet folks and net-work about the trade.

I am thinking about it. The web site has finally had the last of it's renovation completed, so my efforts can cast a wider effort again. Off the top of my head a lecture format and slide shows seem to have been the AISG format, for conferences. Canada probably cannot boast a trade show, like Vegas, so best not try to imitate something that is already working, with a dedicated audience. So some questions still need answering: are we ready for a Canadian conference? What would it's format be? are people interested in volunteering/presenting? what would we like to see?

I guess from the overwhelming responses to this that a conference is not in the works?!.

I was hoping it would be, Canada has always been a favorite place I liked to ride to.

Keep bringing it up, maybe it can get some wings and fly.
