Stained glass panel in entry door

I've made a 25 inch x 60 inch stained glass panel (copper foil method) for my home entry door. I was planning to install the panel between sheets of tempered glass to provide protection, but I'm now reading that there are issues of venting, condensation, etc. that must be considered. I'm finding discussions on the internet about the problem, but not how to solve it. Do you have any advice?
