96" x 36", made using leaded flashed Lamberts glass with overlays and drilled-through metalwork

A piece by Thomas Smylie, commissioned by the Toronto Public Library Alumni Association in memory of Lillian H. Smith, a remarkable children's librarian. On display at the Lillian H. Smith Branch of the Toronto Public Library on College Street, Toronto. Made using beautiful flashed, mouth-blown glass by Lamberts, Germany. The piece is displayed in a custom made frame designed by the library's architect.
