About The Glass Studio, Toronto Stained Glass
Custom Stained Glass Toronto ~ The Glass Studio was started in 1982 by brothers and glass artists Stephen Smylie and Thomas Smylie. With distinct but similar creative styles, they have steadily built up a portfolio of thousands of original, commissioned, residential art glass windows, ceilings and door installations. The Glass Studio offers custom hand-made bevels, carved and sandblasted glass, fused glass pieces, leaded window repairs and restoration services. Notable 'commercial' projects include restoration of the R.O.M. Currelly Gallery windows and two glass ceilings in the Ontario Legislature. The Glass Studio was commissioned by the Government of Canada to produce the Canadian Environmental Achievement Award.
The Glass Studio is now located in Toronto's officially designated 'Design & Decor' district at 1146 Castlefield Avenue, Toronto.
